There Just Beyond That Long Black Sea Curtain

Across the expanse, twilight's beckoning mystery
Far flung over hidden thundering, splashing waves
Lies the unknown, extension of man's history
Adventure begging footsteps of the true and brave
Centuries, that call has cried, "come- take a chance"
Journey in search of love, treasure, life and much more
Such that in great palaces hold Love and Romance
Wealth and sweet pleasures in those far off golden shores.
Beyond the horizon, past that enticing wall
There awaits, the promise of streets paved with gold
Listen and dare to heed that soft enchanting call
Walk into the unknown, dare to be truly bold!

To be had, sailing beyond those sea foaming veils
That which the bravest adventurer's heart knows true
Treasures, romance as told in many sailor's tales
All beyond, far beyond, waiting for me and you!

Vows Of Love That Time And Distance Can Not Deny

Beyond the ocean and high clifftop ledge
Across great expanse of water and skies
Two lovers far apart gave loving pledge
vowing truest of loving never dies.
Each longing for fever of midnight dreams
welcoming beats of tender, aching cries
Whilst wading through youthful life as a team
insuring their foresworn oath never dies.

In the distance, bright pharos blinking glow
As if in time with lovers longing hearts
Each in night's waning hours wanting to know
Again that sweet each loving kiss imparts.
Deep rising crescendo of true love's ache
With romantic, sensual - hot delights
Rhythm of loving taste as tide's splashing breaks
As two hearts gasps beauty of tender nights.

Waking to vernal freshness of dawn's rays
Giving thanks for bounty of love's blessings
As each, across the ocean bows to pray
Love's eternity - both are confessing.

    Note:
    (1.) *pharos=
(lowercase) any lighthouse or beacon to direct sailors.

    (2.)*vernal=
    ver·nal /'v?rnl/ , adjective
of, in, or appropriate to spring.

    Note two-
Excuse the many edits but fate, time, future insights
demanded a few changes from the original as was
first composed by a very none world hardened poet of
a mere youthfully blind 26 years old, in the year
    of 1980.
Removed were several dark verses warning of the
many pitfalls of love and life that I, as have so very
many other young lads- found to be a quite sad part of
love when it fails. This new and heavily edited version
represents the beauty and blessing of love when it
triumphs and gifts its dearest, greatest sweet treasures….

One Whose Devilish Heart Comes From The Fridge.

Why did I write, " I do truly love her"
Carve love lost hope into innocent bark
She that had called me a surly cur
An insult that left a deep hidden mark.

What folly, a black curse that never ends.
O the sheer agony of, "lets' be friends".

    This love-storm, its endless revolutions
Far worse than a tempest and a hanging
From dark depths of mankind's evolution
The hard invisible blows still clanging.

What folly, a black curse that never ends.
O the sheer agony of, "lets' be friends".

    Insanity- to love so futilely
Live in past dreams - under a falling bridge
    Follow along, so damn dutifully
One whose devilish heart comes from the fridge.

What folly, a black curse that never ends.
O the sheer agony of, "lets' be friends".

Tragic, When Innocence Was Lost And Love Fled
(Youth, Dreams And Reality Series) number 2

Beauty waltzed in on my diamond dreams
While I a young lad wading rushing streams
There bright roses and lush gardens in bloom
Bringing me back from the darkness and gloom
How oft we wonder why happiness flees
Despite our prayers, our sincerest pleas
Yet tomorrow always comes, life moves on
Where we find beauty in a simple stone.

I wake from dreams and eager dawn I beg
Give me back love and my young dancing legs
For in this tired ole spirit hope still shines
I see Nature's beauty smell scented pines
Walk the ancient trails and rest a bit
Thank God my bloodline gives me heart and grit
Oft I wonder who now walks these old shoes
As lonely builds its walls and sings its blues.

Sun sets a glowing red, life welcomes soft night
Such a soulful peace allows no dark fright
In youth I found that time was not a friend
For took away joy as happy days end
And some nights radiant moon its rays hid
Reminding, fairy tales are just for kids
In those somber thoughts, her dear face appears
And then in waiting heart love romance sears.

Beauty waltzed in on my diamond dreams
While I a young lad wading rushing streams
There bright roses and lush gardens in bloom
Bringing me back from the darkness and gloom
How oft we wonder why happiness flees
Despite our prayers, our sincerest pleas
Yet tomorrow always comes, life moves on
Where we find beauty in a simple stone.

From Seed A Promise, Treasures To Flourish On Earth
Blog, On Poetic Contrast, Between Dark And Light
(My two poems composed -one of dark, one of Light.)
    (from my new blog)

    (1.)

The Horrid Night, The Terrible Nightmare

In a dance of serpents the long fangs drip

poison falling from needle sharp fang tips

chained here in this dark cavern of doom

with just one bite this will become my tomb

I ponder deep how did I end up here,

as my sweat oozes out buckets of fear !

Seems a dream, ghastly nightmare to endure

I think, tis true my heart is not so pure

but that proves what a weak mortal I be

one like all other, too blinded to see

I ponder deep how did I end up here,

as my sweat oozes out buckets of fear !

I cringe, three snakes slither over to me

in their cold serpent eyes hunger I see

agonizing with my shivers I wait

powerless, now cast into hands of dark Fate

I ponder deep how did I end up here,

as my sweat oozes out buckets of fear !

As minutes pass like weeks or painful days

aching brain conjures up some fleeing ways

If I sincerely pray maybe I live

I do, I think what treasures may I give

I ponder deep how did I end up here,

as my sweat oozes out buckets of fear !

Then from the dark a voice begins to speak

you are man, and man is evil and weak

I the master of fear reign in this dark

here you are like a bare tree with no bark

I ponder deep how did I end up here,

as my sweat oozes out buckets of fear !

I fought the strong urge to give a reply

I wanted to ask the hidden voice, why

on earth was I in this place brought and bound

in this frightening dark, deep underground

I ponder deep how did I end up here,

as my sweat oozes out buckets of fear !

How I do not know, the voice heard my mind

saying, I brought you because you are blind

in this cavern, a lesson you must learn

recalling life's warnings you once did spurn

I ponder deep how did I end up here,

as my sweat oozes out buckets of fear !

It was then I cried, God forgive me

I was truly a lost fool, now I see

Please rescue me from this dark abode

I know now it was my soul I then sold

I now know how I ended up down here,

where my sweat oozes out buckets of fear !

I give thanks, that this lost soul you now save!

With your mercy, I leave this self-made grave!

From Seed A Promise, Treasures To Flourish On Earth

Seed waits not only for Spring's first shower

but for glorious rays of dawn's first hour

resting 'neath in its comfortable hidden bed

far away from cries of earth's ancient dead!

From seed a promise- treasures to flourish on earth.

Tis reminder, measures of life and love's true worth.

As world represents its raging black-seas

man exist, victim uttering sad pleas

    battles fought, sacrificing flowing red

Alas! But vanity that gifts more dead!

From seed a promise- treasures to flourish on earth.

Tis reminder, measures of life and love's true worth.

Spring arrives, O' glory- of rising seeds

earthen harvests that many billions feeds

fruits of man's labors, Nature's blessed soil

does soul and body well, labor's hard toil.

From seed a promise- treasures to flourish on earth.

Tis reminder, measures of life and love's true worth.

Mankind walks onward in its blinded way

amidst darkness, victims to set to pay

forgetting divine gifts, walking dead roads

increasing chained hands, life's heavy loads.

From seed a promise- treasures to flourish on earth.

Tis reminder, measures of life and love's true worth.

Why mankind seeks sadden hearts, weary hands

one must embrace light's truth to understand

for that is the source of those waiting seeds

healing balm that stops black-rivers that bleed.

From seed a promise- treasures to flourish on earth.

Tis reminder, measures of life and love's true worth.

Pray A Well Lit Path Be Your Choice

Pray a bright lit path be your choice
Let Dawn sings in its brightest voice
Its rays cast away black of night
Allowing Truth to shine in Light
    Basking in that eternal glow
Both blind heart and soul shall then grow.

Pray a blessing soon comes your way
As dark night yields to break of day
Wherein Dawn's glow your heart delights
Hope its power reveals to sight
Songs of better days echo loud
We learn to stand up bold and proud.

Pray your sorrows are washed away
    Life renewed destroys the grey
Peace and new cheer are again found
In scourging dark we are not bound
Laughter across the land is heard
And pray, we thank God, is the word.

Pray a bright lit path be your choice
Let Dawn sings in its brightest voice
Its rays cast away black of night
Allowing Truth to shine in Light
    Basking in that eternal glow
Both blind heart and soul shall then grow.

When A Beautiful Morning Song-Bird Sings

When morning songbird warbles lively dirge
Soul wakes unable to resist this urge
And when alone, these feet begin to tap,
Taking me to delight from last night's nap.

Tis a truth, a great blessing to have found.

Heart joins rhapsody, colors team up
    As if to fill life's joyous golden cup;
    A miracle vanquishing worldly pains
Such a blessing very hard to explain.

Tis a truth, a great blessing to have found.

Thus I thank songbird for gifting its glee
    Arousing sleeping spirit within me
Nature's finer blessing given for sure
Restoring what world's dark has made impure.

Tis a truth, a great blessing to have found.

When morning songbird warbles lively dirge
Soul wakes unable to resist this urge
And when alone, these feet begin to tap,
Taking me to delight from last night's nap.

Hold Fast, Wake Not From Such Imaginative Dreams

I woke to exist within a splinter of Light
Leaving behind vanity and pleasures of night
An enigma, a soul fleeing from surging blight
Alone upon a racing sea of newborn sight.

Hold fast, wake not from such imaginative dreams.
Tarry thee longer, flee not to darkened world's schemes.

I saw, birth of frost adorning a brighten morn
Heaving joy and soft pain to have been thus reborn
Twas' I, a messenger from a world badly torn
Else blind beggar, worthy of only scathing scorn.

Hold fast, wake not from such imaginative dreams.
Tarry thee longer, flee not to darkened world's schemes.

I spoke, broad meadow issued bountiful reply
Flowers gasping loudly as I gave but mild sigh
Below virgin ground moaned, above wide sunny sky
Then alone, another dream, soul sought to deny.

Hold fast, wake not from such imaginative dreams.
Tarry thee longer, flee not to darkened world's schemes.
