A question about the flame zone

Anyway, believe it or not, some threads, even when in the cage, have a "little" bit of a purpose. If it gets out of hand, even for the Cage area, or I just grow tired of intervening, I'll lock it up. Sometimes though, it's best to let the fighting continue to keep it from extending out to otherwise good threads in the political sections.

That's a fair enough answer. Just seemed to me that if a forum is advertised as no rules then nothing would able to be done which caused a thread to be closed.

This isn't USMB. Your title refers to the "flame zone", which is there, this is the "steel cage" and existed before the flame zone. Also, WHY would you think that this is advertised as no rules? In fact, if you enter the steel cage, there is a sticky post/thread that even outlines the rules for this section, albeit very small. These were here before you even became a member, so I'm confused as to where you're getting these "no rules" or advertisement from.

Just a slip of the fingers Jim. I often call it the flame zone when just talking about, just habit not yet changed I suppose. I wasn't confusing the two boards though.

And I have read the sticky, and the rules are there but they are pretty rudimentary and I didn't see them being broken over the months in threads I've seen closed.
