Boris has left St Thomas's Hospital today. He isn't yet returning to work .. he will spend some time at 'Chequers', which is a Prime Ministerial retreat (a rough equivalent to your Camp David).
He broadcast a speech -- covered by LBC. The presenter at the time, Ian Payne, said he found it very moving -- and he 'never finds speeches moving'. I heard most of it. Boris is thoroughly praising the NHS, saying that if it hadn't been for the staff there (he singled out two nurses for particular praise) he was sure he wouldn't now be alive.
Anyway, he SOUNDS healthy enough. Needs a lot more recuperation, obviously, but is now well & truly on the mend.
GREAT NEWS !!!
