Suffice to say, I think we both kinda agree to an extent with what the other is saying. But lets look at it this way: we are both believers in freedoms - so why not let the community, the members, have that freedom to decide for themselves if they would like to use that feature or not? I really don't think it harms anyone, and it certainly doesn't harm the community at all.
I don't think there will be many guests reading, and on the verge of joining, but change their minds because they fear someone may place them on ignore. If anything, they should be pleased that we are open with rules and moderation and allow everyone to make decisions for themselves.
And I will say this, as owner - should this be abused even once, and a click of a button and things go back to the way they were. It's not something being used/tested to create an issue, but rather give more options. I don't see it being used but more than 2-3 times in 10 years if I had to lay a wager.
Now, as for planning deaths... you're the one with the woman that hates me. Only a matter of time before she hates you too. And JUST one night that you forget and fall asleep tightly - Lorena Bobbitt comes out and you'll be wishing for death.
