JUST heard on Fox News in the morning that a NEW report says that SEVENTY FIVE PERCENT of all new recruits FAIL to meet the standards to enlist, either they're too FAT or they have a RECORD or they're too stupid or whatever... SEVENTY FIVE PERCENT!
And keep in mind, this is the same generation that's out there MASS MURDERING people. There's obviously something wrong with these people. All the liberal bull shit that's been rammed down their throats in schools is coming home to roost.

Recruits who are raised with a sense of entitlement, no discipline, handed participation trophies, no respect for authority, and all the physical traits of a jelly fish..... what could go wrong? Some of these kids have never had to do any work of any kind, think they know everything because the played thousands of hours of XBOX and had no sense of responsibility because mommy and daddy and the government takes care of them. The same kids are taught that soldiers are robots, their teachers tell them that military members are the "lowest of the low" and all that other crap. The are raised as some kind of genderless mush without any idea of how they ae supposed to act in society and they can only relate to another human being through facebook and cell phone texts. Why in the hell is anyone surprised they are not fit for military duty?

I trained both OCS classes and recruits.

What does a grenade weigh?
Is it 1 lb....1.5 lbs, 2 lbs?
We did not use them in the Coast Guard, so I do not know.
But I could toss a 16 lb shotput 43 feet in college. Not good enough for competition, but not a bad heave!

There are a lot of different types of grenades. Almost all weigh under 2 pounds and most around 1 pound. The latest grenade was developed and fielded last year and allows the user to select between concussion or fragmentation with the flip of a lever. There are also different types of grenades for grenade launchers... different animal and usually launched from some type of weapon.
