    Default Someone Hit Syria Again

Wonder who? Two pronged, Syria and IRAN.

Syrian army says 'new enemy aggression' hit military positions in missile strike04/29/20183:59:49 PMUPDATED ON04/29/20185:54:50 PM

The severity of the blasts registered as over 2.0 on the Richter scale
Several explosions rocked northwest Syria overnight Sunday in what was believed to be a missile attack against Iranian targets, said Syrian media reports.A "new enemy aggression" targeted the Syrian regime's "military positions" in the provinces of Hama and Aleppo, reported official SANA news agency, without identifying the attackers.

However, video footage revealed that the massive blasts hit the Syrian army's 47th Brigade military base used by Iran-backed Shiite militias and an alleged headquarters for Iranian militants, according to Orient news outlet. The seismic severity of the blast was described as over 2.0 on the Richter scale and is said to have hit a weapons depot.

Local media reported that some 40 were killed in the attack and another 60 wounded. The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights monitor confirmed the firing of missiles, but it could not immediately say whether there were any casualties, nor who was responsible for the strikes.

Various outlets pointed the finger at Israel as being behind the attack as it was also believed responsible for a similar overnight airstrike that killed 14 militants, seven of which were Iranian, earlier this month.

A number of strikes on targets in Syria have been attributed to Israel, though it rarely confirms such raids.

However, the incident sparked a tense standoff between arch-foes Israel and Iran.

The raid was widely seen as its first direct attack on Iranian assets and a worrying sign of how Syria's seven-year conflict could escalate into a wider regional war.

Israel has repeatedly voiced concern over the increased presence of Iranian forces in Syria.

"We will not allow Iranian entrenchment in Syria, no matter the price to pay," Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman declared this month."

Every outpost in which we see Iran positioning militarily in Syria, we will destroy, and we will not allow this no matter what the price," he reiterated in an interview with a Saudi news outlet last week. With Iranian-backed militias entrenched in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, Iran's rivals worry it is seeking to dominate the region and gather forces for an attack on Israel.

Syria monitor: Missile attack kills 26, mostly IraniansBy BASSEM MROUE, ASSOCIATED PRESS
    BEIRUT — Apr 30, 2018, 6:52 AM ET

A missile attack targeting government outposts in Syria's northern region killed 26 pro-government fighters, mostly Iranians, a Syria war monitoring group said Monday, amid soaring Mideast tensions between regional archenemies Israel and Iran.

Iranian media gave conflicting reports about the overnight incident amid speculation that it was carried out by neighboring Israel.

The attack came hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu talked to President Donald Trump on the phone. The White House said the two leaders discussed the continuing threats and challenges facing the Middle East, "especially the problems posed by the Iranian regime's destabilizing activities."

A day earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo ratcheted up the Trump administration's rhetoric against Iran and offered warm support to Israel and Saudi Arabia in their standoff with Tehran.

"We remain deeply concerned about Iran's dangerous escalation of threats to Israel and the region and Iran's ambition to dominate the Middle East remains," Pompeo said after a nearly two-hour meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "The United States is with Israel in this fight," he added on his first trip abroad as America's top diplomat.

Israel has cited Iran's hostile rhetoric, support for anti-Israel militant groups and development of long-range missiles.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the late Sunday night attack appears to have been carried out by Israel and targeted an arms depot for surface-to-surface missiles at a base in northern Syria known as Brigade 47. The Observatory said four Syrians were also among the casualties.

It said the death toll could rise as the attack also wounded 60 fighters and there were several others still missing.

    Good on Israel.

I've noticed that Iran has gotten very bold ever since 0bama airlifted them $1.3 Billion in cold, hard cash and then signed that ridiculous deal - bypassing the Senate altogether. Iran went from lurking in the shadows plying their schemes to outright funding & creating chaos in the Middle East.

Yemen terrorists are lobbing missiles at Saudi's Capitol - wonder where those came from? Missiles are quite expensive, you know. It looks like removing those harsh economic sanctions on Iran was a horrible move after all.

Trump needs to cancel that moronic deal that 0bama illegally entered the US into and reimpose crippling sanctions on Iran. If they have no disposable income, there will be much less money to spend destabilizing the region.

And at the first signs of Iran restarting their nuke program, air strike the sites until they're gravel. Keep them in the stone age to match their values.

Everything about this is just so right. Iranian shit got blown up. No one's talking. That means our media is having a stroke. THAT is called you just got your ass kicked. And THIS is how to kick an ass. Talking time's over.

What Iran deal? I would the same thing with that POS Obama did with the Constitution when he made it. Visit the little boy's room.

As Condi Rice once said, Iran is Terrorism's banker.

And Obama gave them more funds to hand out.
