I don't disagree, but by the same token I'm not bothered by what they're doing. Mainly because I don't care, I guess. I've enjoyed Daniel Craig's portrayal, it's the best since Timothy Dalton's, but I have yet to see one of the Craig movies in the theaters. I think that statement is true for most people who have seen them, and the lack of box office $$ is, in my opinion, the biggest factor for the change. Old guys like us, who grew up on the franchise with Connery, Lazenby, Moore (probably the worst, he was and always will be Simon Templar, not James Bond), Dalton... we're dying off, not going to the theater so much anymore. Ours is not the dollar they're after anymore, the demographic has shifted.
Time will tell if they made the right decision.
At least they didn't make the new 007 transgender...
