Default An old poem(ancient history now), poetry form Lyric

I Am Not Living Like That!

Music was rockin', deep dreams my mind was bakin'
She was callin', her leaving words had me shakin'
She was gone like the clouds when I woke myself up
I felt life fallin' into a bottomless cup!

Front door open, dog resting on the new table
I was crawlin', and so damn proud to be able
Something she said, before hitting me with that bat
To hell with you, I am not living like that!

Music was rockin', deep dreams my mind was bakin'
She was callin', her leaving words had me shakin'

Music had stopped playin', did I ever truly care
Gone was great cooking and that beautiful blonde hair
Now I missed times, when she softly touched me like that
Until bloody head reminded me of that bat!

Something she said, before hitting me with that bat
To hell with you, I am not living like that!

Something she said, before hitting me with that bat
To hell with you, I am not living like that!

    This is a finished poem..

    Far Above Moon's Ancient Shadow

    (A Sad Tale of Woe)

Pain, crying pains that ripped glass,
    and black clouds waving goodbyes.
Aye, I remember you sweet lass
and that twinkle in your eyes.

    Far above moon's ancient shadow
among sad gleams from lost stars.
Frigid cold, filled a soul so shallow
aye lass, your leaving left scars.

Hurt, hurt resting in deepest pits
    memories dance out of tune.
Ancient moon, sending me new hits
each year on last day of June!

    Far above moon's ancient shadow
among sad gleams from lost stars.
Frigid cold, filled a soul now shallow
aye lass, your leaving left scars.

Time, time utterly fails its course
nights break bones in a flurry.
Ah, but they shoot a dying horse
now, fate's hand does not hurry!

    Far above moon's ancient shadow
among sad gleams from lost stars.
Frigid cold, filled a soul now shallow
aye lass, your leaving left scars.

Thank you my friend.. Seems the best and most powerful poems are so often written about real life experiences.
I see now that , my hard times when young(so often my own fault!), gave me some truly great fodder for my poetry in my old age..-Tyr
