What is power? And how do you obtain it?
Different people define it differently.
Some seek political power. Some seek to move up the corporate ladder.
I've found that political power and success in your career are ephemeral. When you're dead, it doesn't matter how much political power you wielded or how high you rose on the corporate ladder.
I've also found that you have limited control over events around you. You can only control other people's actions to a limited degree. The only thing that's entirely within your control is your reaction to events. If you can get to the point where outside events don't disturb your tranquility and peace of mind, that's real power.
That's my two cents.
Usually you jump into a brick ceiling patch, and a mushroom or flower squirts out the top.
God bless America, but she stole the "b" from bless.
POLITICAL ACTIVISTS CREED
"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brushfires in people's minds" -Samuel Adams
"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men
stand ready to do violence on their behalf."~George Orwell
Power is the ability to make people give you what you want. You get power by convincing people to give it to you whether by force or coercion.
