Hi everyone!

I am a 41 year old conservative from Texas (same town as sock puppet) who loves to talk politics and technology. I am the Network Engineer for the local university and find it interesting being just about the only conservative in my working environment. I will look forward to some great discussions and debates.

Yes being friends with a liberal is a horrible horrible thing. He should be arrested and talked to... sternly. It is impossible to believe that people with different views could possibly be good friends and have friendly DEBATES about politics. This board does not seem to be able to do that, but seems to like to resort to "I will kick yer ass!" tactics. Does anyone ever thinks that maybe differences of opinion helps people to think about things? I am able to think for myself, and I come to my own conclusions, arguing with Jeremy about them either reinforces them or changes them. I am not stubbornly stuck on 1 view and blindly defend it, I am persuaded by facts. TY.

I met lots of liberals in Tx when I was there last. Of course I was a guest of a union. And it was in Austin. And they all had Dem connections

And then they took to me to Houston (Pasadena??) and I met then State Senator Jerry Patterson, nice bloke but.....whoa....conservative as they come
