If JoePa wanted to "cover it up", he wouldn't have reported it to authorities as he was supposed to do. He also wouldn't have given an honest accounting of things when with the grand jury. He tol it as he knew it, and just how McQueary reportedly told him. He may not have been as "proactive" as some would have liked, morally speaking, but I see nothing at all to show he lied or tried to cover anything up.

Quite frankly, and I know no one intended it this way - but I think "judging" this man and making unfounded accusations on the day he dies is in poor taste. He wasn't a Saint, but he was to PSU football and has earned his stripes as a coach. He shouldn't be disrespected and treated like a criminal when he didn't break any laws.

One week from today. That is the standard grieving period. After that we can discuss his role in the Sandusky thing.

I would ask the threads discussing such be locked for that time, and that this one be left open only as a place for those who wish to to grieve the guy.

In either case, I personally won't be commenting in the other threads about what happened at PSU for one week.
