I think that FJ would argue well if supporting something justifiable. Trouble is, that's quite rare for FJ. So, once he's bested, he has to go in for stupid trickery instead. Put-downs. Crossings-out. Ignoring points which it doesn't serve him to recognise. Stuff like that.

Egotism aside ... difficult in FJ's case, since this is a dominant feature of what drives him ... it all comes down to a degree of desperation. FJ can never admit he's wrong. So, he relies on anything else his mind can think of, rather than make that admission.

There is undeniable humour in seeing his desperation, and the pathetic efforts he makes to cover for it. I think we're not supposed to be able to see any of that for what it is .... !! ...

Man stands firm on his principles unlike you that (especially in my case) only seeks to belittle those you disagree with.

You are not a dumb person but you most assuredly are wrong a helluva lot of the time. I recommend about 45 years of intensive and well prepared reading on a host of subjects and maybe then you can start to shoot in either his or even my league. Education is a lot more than just "book learning" pedro...... Fact is the majority of university grads today are far, far less educated than the average high school graduate of 1938.
Haven't a clue where you fall in that other than it's damn sure is not in the upper levels IMHO. Wheras Drummond has often shown his integrity, class , intelligence and principled stand IMHO.
