Really ? Well, the obviously easiest, quickest way to defuse the situation would be to apologise. Thus far, she's refused to. That refusal has dragged this nonsense on and on.

My point is, don't take on the entire board for a disagreement with one person.

Other people are responsible for their views, AND where they lead. As I've said .. with freedom, comes responsibility.

One thing Jim and I agree on and always have is we are ALL members. A mod/admin are mod/dmins when they're doing their jobs. If they are arguing as members, they're members. Other than being offended, nothing official happened to you, right?

Why WOULD anything happen to me ?? I AM JUSTIFIED. Any 'action' taken would've been an enormous travesty.

It isn't up to you to decide the moral standing of others. It is up to you to maintain your own morals.

More to the point, ideally it shouldn't even arise in the first place. However, when standards fall below a certain point, then it's only human nature to judge. And in my case, since I've been the butt of someone else's ill-conceived stupidity, I am more than justified in taking a stand on it.

With freedom, comes responsibility. The responsibility is to not use freedom in such a way that needless harm comes of it.

I used to post on a board that was all European lefties so I admire that you even try. At the same time, we're a bunch of unruly rebellious Americans. You have to take that into consideration. I think you'll find that, on this forum, it originated from a Leftie who was trying to con others into believing he was actually a Conservative, and as you might expect, he made a hash of it.

Me - I'd say this. Big Government, as a general principle, is NOT to be preferred, but that said, there are times when nothing else will serve. And Perianne, you've just done a splendid job of illustrating how true that is !

IMHO, my friend Drummond lost nothing because truth prevails and his character stands as testament to his honesty and conservative values.
However, sporting "thicker skin" comes at a high cost and sometimes its even a cost that serves on well.
